イギリスからアップサイクル家具～到着

障害者の社会復帰活動でありますアップサイクル家具アンティーク部材をリメイクしましたテーブルランプ2点がイギリスから海を渡って到着致しました。

障害のある方々が１日に1時間も作業出来るか出来ないかの状態でも作業所に通って塗装や生地の張り替えを行い仕上げた作品になります。

生地や塗料などはイギリスの各企業から、そしてアンティークの家具は実際に貴族宅などで使用されていた時代を経た古い物が寄付されたものです。

この作業所で仕事を学び社会復帰を果たしていく方々はたくさんおられるとのことです。

遠い遠いイギリスからコンテナに3カ月乗って日本の地に辿り着いた美しいランプを眺めていますと非常に感慨深いものがあります。

Upcycled furniture from the UK ~We’ve arrived in Japan~.

Two lamps made from upcycled furniture and remade antique materials have arrived from England across the sea.

Even if people with disabilities may or may not be able to work for an hour a day, they will go to the workshop every day to paint and reupholster the fabric to create a finished work.

The fabrics and paints were donated by British companies, and the antique furniture was actually used in aristocratic homes.

It is said that there are many people who learn work at this workshop and return to society.

Looking at the lamps that have arrived in Japan in a container from a workshop in faraway England, I feel a deep emotion.
